Elizabeth Yeterian (Zabethy) is a illustrator, animator, and designer, based in New Zealand/Louisiana, and working everywhere.
I am Elizabeth Yeterian, born in California, USA I spent much of my life travelling and living around the world. I got my bachelors in Visual Communications Design (VCD) from Massey University in 2015, and a diploma in animation from Animation college (2016).
As a visual artist in the ArkLaTex Metro, I am currently most active in both the Bossier Arts Council and Shreveport Regional Arts Council ecosystem. I was the recipient of a third place award in the 2021 juried Bossier Arts Council ‘Contained’ show.
Most of my time is spent creating vast worlds and their story lines, converting what is in my mind to digital media or expanding it in traditional mediums. My physical work most often consists of large format galley installation paintings using traditional media in acrylic, watercolours, gouache, and ink. I’m hoping to learn to create resin art in the future, and plan to have a workshop dedicated to sewing, laser cutting, and industrial design.
When first starting a design or a concept, I try to imagine a world that is better, a world that merges design, technology, and the vast expanse of our universe as we know it. Science and logic drive my work, while my creativity allows me to bring that logic to life in a way that exudes colour, emotion, and passion.
When not creating art, I can be found entertaining my daughter, gardening, researching scientific and technological advances, playing mobile or console games, trading plants at the local plant swap, swimming, or hanging out with my family and close friends.
